Superheat, established in 2000, emerged when the on-site heat treatment industry lacked stringent safety procedures and exposed workers to unnecessary risks. Over the last 23 years, we have diligently prioritized safety standards for our valued clients and customers without compromising cost or quality. Through our cutting-edge on-site heat treatment equipment, remote operations, internal programs, and digital advancements, we have spearheaded a safety culture within our organization and emerged as industry leaders.
On April 27th 2023, we were thrilled to have Joe Brynda, Midwest Safety Manager, and Steven Phillippe, Business Development Manager (pictured right), represent Superheat at the esteemed 30th Annual Coalition for Construction Safety (CCS) Awards Celebration. This event recognized the outstanding safety achievements in Indiana’s construction and facilities maintenance industry throughout 2022. It was an honor to attend this event once again and have our award submissions reviewed by a panel of distinguished CCS judges. We are incredibly proud to announce that our safety efforts were duly acknowledged and received the prestigious Safety Achievement, Safety Leader, and Zero Injury Awards.
The Safety Achievement Award was granted based on Joe’s exceptional presentation to the CCS Judges, where he eloquently highlighted our robust safety programs, practices, and initiatives. The subsequent question period further demonstrated the depth of our commitment to safety. From the presentations, the judges then decided on the top 8-10 submissions, which were moved into the next phase of site visits to see the proclaimed safety practices in action. We are thrilled to share that we were among the top 3 runners-up in this highly competitive category, reflecting our unwavering dedication.
For the Safety Leader Award, we submitted a comprehensive 3-page narrative showcasing our cutting-edge equipment’s safety features, our easily accessible safety department portal via QR code, our impactful SWAT (Safe Work Action Team) program, and the significant contributions made by our Superheat SmartCenter™, SmartView™ digital QA platform, and SmartPak™/Card to our impressive 4-year safety metrics and unparalleled record of ZERO recordable injuries. Last but certainly not least, we were honored to receive the Zero Injury Award, a testament to our unwavering commitment to safety, as evidenced by our impeccable record of ZERO recordable injuries in the previous year.

Being recognized and awarded for our culture and practices is a testament to our hard work every day to ensure that nobody is ever put in harm’s way.”
Joe Brynda – Mid-West Safety Manager, said, “We are thrilled to share that we have been recognized as a runner-up for the Safety Excellence Award. This accolade holds special meaning for us as it acknowledges our unwavering commitment to fostering a strong safety culture at Superheat.
