We are proud to announce a major safety milestone for Superheat: seven consecutive years with zero recordable injuries, spanning 2019 through 2025. This achievement reflects a deeply embedded safety culture and a disciplined, proactive approach to protecting people while delivering complex on-site heat treatment services worldwide.
In an industry defined by high-risk environments, demanding schedules, and technical precision, maintaining a zero-recordable record for seven years doesn’t happen by chance. It’s the result of strong systems, consistent leadership, engaged employees, and commitment to continuous improvement.
Safety as a Core Value
At Superheat, safety isn’t treated as a priority that shifts with project demands. It’s a core value that influences how work is planned, how teams are trained, how technology is deployed, and how projects are executed in the field. From early pre-job planning through execution and close-out, safety is built into every decision. This approach helps ensure hazards are identified early, expectations are clear, and teams are aligned on safe execution before work begins.
Strong Systems That Support Safe Work
Over the past several years, we have continued to strengthen our safety program—building on what works and refining what adds value as operations scale in size and complexity.
Short Service Employee (SSE) Program:
One of the most impactful developments in 2025 was the formal rollout of the Short Service Employee (SSE) Program. Designed to address the highest-risk period in an employee’s career, the program includes structured onboarding, defined mentorship, and consistent supervision for employees with less than 180 days of applicable experience. Clear identification, daily safety engagement, and documented oversight help new team members build competency without compromising safety.

Technology that Drives Proactive Safety:
Technology also plays a central role. Through the Superheat SmartView™ digital quality assurance and project management platform, real-time dashboards and reporting tools provide visibility into safety observations, near misses, and emerging trends. This data-driven approach supports proactive intervention, continuous learning, and consistent safe work behaviors across projects and regions.
Shared Accountability:
Accountability remains a shared responsibility at every level of our organization. The “Stop Work Authority” is actively encouraged and reinforced, with clear messaging that pausing work to reassess risk is not only acceptable, but also expected.
Performing at Scale Without Compromise
The strength of our safety culture was especially clear during the 2025 fall turnaround season. During this period, teams safely executed more than 2,500 active weld zones across multiple peak-volume days, representing the highest multi-day service levels in Superheat’s history.
At peak, this effort included:
- Approximately 1,667 Superheat SmartPak™ units in service
- 417 machines operating simultaneously, averaging six zones per console
- Over 360 field professionals and 35 SmartCenter operators supporting operations globally
Despite the scale and intensity of the work, safety performance remained uncompromising, extending our zero-recordable record.
Leadership Perspective
Sundip Bajaj, President of Superheat, reflects on the significance of the milestone: “I’m incredibly proud that we’ve achieved seven consecutive years without a lost-time accident at Superheat. This milestone represents more than just numbers on a safety board—it reflects our unwavering commitment to ensuring every team member returns home safely each day.
The industrial services sector presents unique challenges daily, from high-risk environments to demanding schedules, yet our team has met each one with vigilance, discipline, and genuine care for one another. This achievement belongs entirely to our team, whose dedication to safety protocols and to looking out for one another has become the foundation of who we are.
In our industry, a strong safety culture isn’t just a policy; it’s proof that we value people above all else, and seven years of accident-free performance demonstrates that when safety becomes personal, excellence follows. Thank you to every member of our Superheat family for making this possible.”
Jamie Cox, Executive Director of Workforce Management and Safety, adds: “This is a major milestone for Superheat: seven years with zero recordable injuries. Like all companies, we faced challenges along the way, but our teams remained focused and committed—working safely, professionally, and with discipline. I want to recognize everyone involved for their dedication and effort in reaching this remarkable achievement.”
Industry Recognition
This performance has positioned Superheat for many industry recognitions in 2025. We are a finalist at the CCS Awards Celebration for the:
- Zero Injury Award

In addition, Superheat has been nominated by eight clients for the IBR Safety Excellence Awards, presented by the HASC, and is being considered for the Best-in-Class Award. Looking Ahead
Seven consecutive years of zero recordable injuries is both a meaningful milestone and a benchmark for what’s possible when safety is truly embedded in how work is done. This achievement would not be possible without the daily commitment of all Superheat employees across the organization – we can’t thank you enough.
Superheat remains focused on advancing on-site heat treatment execution and strengthening its safety programs through structured mentorship, employee engagement, technology, and disciplined field execution. As operations continue to grow and evolve, safety will remain central to how Superheat protects its people, supports its clients, and delivers reliable results across the global energy and industrial markets.
