Superheat employees successfully completed on-site heat treatment services for the Hinkley Point B Power Station project in the UK.
Near Bridgewater, Somerset – Hinkley Point B is a nuclear power station known as the first Advanced Gas-Cooled Reactor to generate electricity to the grid in the UK.

In the future, we hope to continue servicing EDF Energy in their later construction stages as they build two new reactors – known as Hinkley Point C.
Hinkley Point C will be the first new nuclear power station to be built in the UK in over 20 years! The station will provide low-carbon electricity for an estimated 6 million homes, create thousands of jobs, and bring lasting benefits to the UK economy.
The Hinkley Point Power Station aims to become a major contributor to the UK’s social and economic benefits by creating up to 1,000 apprenticeships, 25,000 employment opportunities, with 64% of the project’s construction value predicted to go to UK companies.
This will also largely contribute to the UK’s mission of reducing carbon emissions by offsetting 9 million tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions per year.
Superheat is proud to have serviced the on-site heat treatment needs for this industrial milestone and looks forward to offering continued support further along the process.
