We’re back with another collaboration with WeldTube – a platform focused on creating educational content within the welding industry. This time we are performing a 2200° solution anneal (air quench) to a 304 stainless steel TIG weld. Check out the video below to get an inside look!
Annealing is a heat treatment process which alters the metallurgical structure of a material to change its mechanical or electrical properties. Typically, the process is used to decrease metal crack sensitivity of aged materials that need to be returned to a weldable state.
